One of those randoms...

K, I know that I've been missing for quite a bit. But I was chatting with Nic recently about football transfers, and also we're pretty excited on watching Man United in Malaysia later this month after the cancellation of their tour last year due to the Asian Cup.

While pretty much everyone is all hype and buzz on how the close season transfers are taking place with, Real Madrid in particular spending more money on two players than some small countries spend in a year... I will actually write about something else.

It's a wonder how some clubs will let their most prized assets go (don't worry United, I'd sell C.R for 80 mil anytime too), I'll actually bitch on how some football jersey designs even got approved in the first place. Ok granted that they're not a total loss, but c'mon... there's gotta be a better idea for design out there...

Man United...

Well ok, at first glance it may not look so bad. It might even appeal to some people as well.. if they play rugby. For a club that relies so heavily on it's merchandising for revenue, it's amazing that someone didn't get fired.

Quote Wayne Rooney "It's important that we like it and get used to it before the season starts (I would probably need a long time to get used to looking at that too). I'm really excited about playing in it (I'm sure he's not being totally honest about that...)"

Nic, I'm still guessing you'll buy it no matter how much you hate it :p

Arsenal...

Now usually I wouldn't give two shits about how Arsenal's jerseys look like, nevermind the attempt to have a baseball shirt as their new away kit. I just think it's ugly.

Newcastle United...

Those poor, poor Geordies must be the most thick skinned people on the planet.

1. They still take off their shirts and cheer their team on even in the most brutal of weather conditions. Whether it's thick skin or just lots of fat I'll leave it to you people to decide.

2. They still call themselves Newcastle United fans after the humiliation they've suffered due to the moronic handling of the club by Mike Ashley (I really admire them for this).

3. They have to support a team wearing that away kit, after seeing their beloved team relegated from the Premiership.

It's a shame really, from once being a potential top five side to being reduced to slugging it out with those in the Championship. But they can't say that they didn't deserve to be there. Their whole last season was the stuff of comedy and cartoon disasters.

Need I say more...?
