Solace?

Dawn came like any other dawn...
And by evening things just didn't seem the same.
I search through the emptiness...
Searching for a light.

I search and I search...
Is there a candle in the darkness?
Not a sound to be heard...
No laughter, no music, no song.

And still I wander...
Trying to find my own salvation.
And yet no matter how far I walk...
I never seem to see the end.
